Humbled Willow Tree

Watch him float in,
Humbled willow tree.
A faltered beat
As he passes by me.

Hear the thunder in his voice,
Lined lightning: embrace
My tongue refuses to show restraint.

They’ve all heard of my fall,
Like the fall in his leaves.
They know I’m obsessed,
By this man from my dreams,

But do they really know?
Can they really see?
How lowly they seem
In his company.
